August Birchbox Unboxing

The August Birchbox is in! Read below to see what products came this month!

Birch box is a beauty subscription service that delivers sample and deluxe sized items to your door each month for a 10 dollar fee. It’s a great way to sample items and see if you want to invest your money into high-end products that you may otherwise never get to test out!

The first item I got was a mini Oribe wave and shine spray. The full size retails for 22-39 dollars. It’s suppose to deliver texturized, beauty waves while also hydrating hair, adding shine. It also is supposed to provide UV protection.

The next item is a mini Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle spray leave in conditioner. I am a fan of leave in conditioner products, so it’ll be nice to try this before I invest up to 23.50 on a full size! It’s said to lock in color and add silkiness and a great scent to your hair!

The third product is a sample size of the Air Repair Complexion Boosting Moisturizer. Now, I don’t stray from my Proactive and Body Shop skin care, but this isn’t bad for a travel-sized item to keep in a purse. It revitalizes dry, dull or stressed-out skin. Full size is 21 dollars.

Next is a product I just CAN’T get excited about! This is the Manna Kadar Cosmetics shadow from the Day Dream Palette. It’s an eyeshadow that can double as a blush or a highlighter, and the palette itself is 25 dollars. No matter how pretty it may swatch, I just know I’ll never use this. I definitely prefer to keep shadows in a palette or magnetized in my Z palette, so I hate carrying around individuals.

I had to save the best for last, and I definitely might purchase the full size, 19 dollar version of this! This is a mini of the Laura Geller Color Luster Lip Gloss in the color Cookie Dough. The name is cute enough, but it just gives a great nude pigment with just a little peach to it. Definitely my favorite item in this box!

For ten dollars, I never feel like I can complain much about what I get. This wasn’t my favorite box, but I will use some of the products. While I love the lipstick and will try out the two hair products, the moisturizer and eyeshadow are duds for me this month!

Will you be trying out Birchbox?
